In April 2006, DS designed and managed an 8 day study tour in Beijing and Shanghai for 8 Vietnamese industry specialists from VINATEX, the largest garment and textile industry in Vietnam. The purpose of the study tour was to discuss and learn about State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) reform and development from the Chinese SOEs. During the study tour, the industry specialists met with a State agency and 2-3 company representatives in Beijing and Shanghai.
The main objective of the study tour was to learn from the experiences of SOE reform in Chinese textile and garment corporations, with a special focus on holding companies (parent and subsidiary companies).
