EU-China Trade SIA

Since 1999 Trade Sustainability Impact Assessments (SIAs) have been undertaken by the European Union during major trade negotiations to identify the potential economic, social, and environmental impacts of a trade agreement. This project utilised the European Commission’s Trade SIA methodology to assess the trade negotiations of the EU-China Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA).

EU-China Competitiveness

China’s rise presents a great challenge to the global economic system and European operators are beginning to compete head on with Chinese industry. In dealing with this issue the DG Trade commissioned DS and EMG to conduct a study highlighting how the EU can leverage its competitive advantage in China.
