Avian Influenza
Outbreaks of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in many countries worldwide have risen substantially, posing a major risk to international trade and public health. DS is currently implementing a project focused on training experts in state of the art virological and serological methods of diagnosis of HPAI.
Geographical Indications
Agriculture and Rural development are fundamental issues for many developing countries. Our work in China and Southeast Asia includes supporting rural agricultural communities to gain access to technical assistance in modern farming techniques. An area of particular focus the development of ‘Geographical Indications’ as a driver of rural development.
