Trainings to Improve Control of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) and other Animal Diseases in Third Countries 2010 -2011
Under its "Better Training for Safer Food" initiative the Directorate‐General for Health and Consumers of the European Commission (DG SANCO) is organising training workshops and missions for Member States as well as third countries to improve control of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) and other animal diseases such as Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD).
EU Training Programme on Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) issues for Asian countries
Agriculture and Rural development are fundamental issues for many developing countries. Our work in China and Southeast Asia includes supporting rural agricultural communities to gain access to technical assistance in modern farming techniques. An area of particular focus the development of ‘Geographical Indications’ as a driver of rural development.
